A little bit of me…

I’m the classic first-born child: totally comfortable being in charge, always wanting to get things  done now and unafraid of stepping up and doing it myself. I live off that feeling you get when you have  an adventure or make a discovery.

A passionate gal originally from South America, I lived my life between two fascinating worlds—at the  age of 12, I moved from Brazil to the USA and now, at 24, I am discovering life is just getting started.

Graduated with a bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communications, where my initial goal was to become a news reporter. With time, I realize there’s a lot more I would like to accomplish in and out of the Communications field. Basically, I’d like to be Super Woman. But while that’s physically impossible, I try to ‘hug’ the world and get the best out of every moment.

I am currently a resident of the Big Apple; the city that has made me grow more in seven months than in 23 years back at home.  New York gives me life and motivation and has blessed me with memories I will carry on forever.

I love my family. I am nothing without them. Friends? I’ve got plenty. But the REAL friends are the ones that really count. And that, I can count in one hand.

I am obsessed with a few great things: food, diverse cultures, international travel, reading books that let my imagination flow, photography, neo-pop and modern art, alternative music, mixed-up fashion and wine tasting.

Oh. I also love soccer players. But what girl doesn’t?

Although I look pretty when I cry, my smile and laughter and much more constant.

I always remember first impressions… but only consider the last ones.

  1. I love this blog. It brings a piece of you to the page, and anything cultural that comes from outside New York City is fascinating to me. Keep doing what you are doing!

  2. I agree with Abby. You are clearly having so much fun with this…what could be better for an “excessive talker”than the opportunity to think out loud? BTW, when I was growing up and my mother told me to do something, I would ask why and she usually said, “because I said so….” Same in your household?

  3. Marianna,
the blog looks great. I love the graphics and the bright colors. Your voice and exuberance come through very well. Good use of tags and links and video. You might consider using the “read more” function to not have such long columns of copy–unless that is the look you want to achieve.
